“I would like to thank Jane and Jo for the facilitation of an impeccable retreat, which again exceeded expectations and for all their assistance in bringing us together and helping us to find a clear path towards a successful opening and operation of the first ultra-luxury, boutique hotel in the Middle East.”
Simon A. Fricker, General Manager
Nobu Hotel Riyadh
We’ve worked with Nobu Restaurants for many years. They brought us in to prepare for the high profile opening of a ‘seven star’ hotel in Riyadh (owned by the Saudi Royal Family). It was an interesting challenge, blending Japanese heritage with Middle Eastern culture with an internationally diverse group of leaders and team members.
Following some diagnostic work, we facilitated a two-day culture and leadership workshop in Bahrain for the directors to establish a clear purpose, values and behaviours for the brand. We incorporated some psychometric work to enable a fully functioning team with a healthy, aligned and harmonious dynamic.
Our learning and development team then worked with the next level leaders and beyond to support them in working out ‘what good looks like’, in terms of delivering on their values as well as other business goals, and how to achieve this simply and well. This aligned approach has enabled the team to circumnavigate countless potential barriers along the way for this challenging opening, putting them in great shape to make a real splash on the Middle East.
