Who we are
After 21 years of running Purple Cubed together, Jane and Jo set up Hendrick & Hyde so we can continue doing the work we love; what we do best – uncomplicated, pure and simple. So you know you’ll always have a founding director working directly with you, though we do have a small network of talented, specialist associates, who we bring in to support our projects.
Following a successful career in hospitality management (hotels and contract catering), Jane co-founded The Mayday Group (recruitment) which she exited in 2001 to start Purple Cubed – the UK’s first people retention business.
Having exited in 2023, together with Jo Harley she founded Hendrick & Hyde, an impactful and down to earth consulting business that helps businesses become great workplaces. Jane also supports Korero, a technology business born out of Purple Cubed. She’s also been instrumental in the success of several not-for-profit organisations, mostly helping disadvantaged people into meaningful work.
As well as writing three business books (one a UK best seller), and co-authoring a fourth, she's a trustee of The Oxford Cultural Collective, a visiting fellow at two UK Universities, an industry commentator, a talented presenter, prolific mentor, and a previous Shine Ambassador of the Year and a Woman of the Year.
Jo first met Jane when she joined Purple Cubed in its early days to head up product development and the operational launch of technology products. Having worked across all aspects of that business, she became MD in 2015. She also supported Jane in their consultancy work and co-facilitates at board level.
When Purple Cubed was acquired in 2023, Jo set up Hendrick & Hyde with Jane - an impactful and down to earth consulting business that helps businesses become great workplaces. She also works with Korero, a technology business born out of Purple Cubed.
Jo is also an industry commentator, awards judge, advisor and mentor and part of the Saira Circle. She also sits on a number of hospitality industry round tables. Her previous experience includes holding a licence for her own pub in her early 20s and working in sales and marketing for Bacardi Martini to gain experience in a corporate environment.
Emily started working with Jo and Jane many years ago in Purple Cubed where she joined for her University year out in industry placement, returning after graduation. She worked across many areas of the business including supporting Jane and Jo on a day to day basis, heading up people and office support, and managing successful client projects.
When Purple Cubed was acquired in 2023, Emily set up her Virtual Assistance business, where she continues to support Hendrick and Hyde - an impactful and down to earth consulting business that helps businesses become great workplaces. She also supports Korero, a technology business born out of Purple Cubed.
